Blog Overhaul Underway

I always hated it when people posted images like this on a website that I was evaluating to be an affiliate, but I thought it was appropriate.   It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here, mostly because we’ve just been swamped at integrating a few businesses into one cohesive unit.  It’s been a whirlwind last 2 years with Fanatics being acquired by GSI, GSI being acquired by eBay and picking up management responsibilities for the official stores of the NBA, NASCAR, NFL, NHL and ESPNShop, and then being quickly sold back to Michael Rubin to form Fanatics, Inc.  Since then, we’ve acquired Dreams, Inc. and their Fans Edge, ProSportsMemorabilia.com and Mounted Memories brands and more.  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be updating this site to really accurately describe all of the awesome opportunities available to Affiliates through Fanatics, Inc. and how you can work with us to maximize your earnings by working with the leader in licensed sports merchandise sales online.

We’re starting to really ramp up the count of products in stock tied to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games being held in London from July 27th – August 12th.   One of the early top sellers has been our selection of collectible pins celebrating the London 2012 games and TeamUSA.   We have a landing page set up to feature these London 2012 and TeamUSA Collectible pins at http://www.fanatics.com/Olympics_Pins_And_Buttons and have set uploaded banner sets and some text links to promote them on Commission Junction, AvantLink and ShareASale.   All of our Olympic apparel and collectibles products are live in our product data feeds as well.  We’ll be adding a London 2012 tab soon to the Graphic Library in our Internal Affiliate Program as well.  I’ll be sure to post and email when that is set up.

Fanatics has launched a new soccer landing page that should be a welcome addition to Soccer affiliates world-wide.  The new selection of soccer fan gear features product from the world’s major soccer federations including FIFA, EUFA, Premier League, and MLS with an easy to use “tabbed” interface that makes finding their team quick and easy.

The National Teams tab features links to 109 teams worth of t-shirts, jerseys and more from all over the globe.  From Algeria to Zimbabwe, Fanatics has the national squad gear that you can wear to support your side in the Olympics in London in August.    The MLS tab features jerseys, scarves, t-shirts, team balls and more from all 19 teams in the MLS including the L.A. It’s an exciting day here at Fanatics as we’ve launched the first phase of the new 2012 NFL Apparel campaign with new vendors Nike (apparel and jerseys) and New Era (official hats) going live on the site today.

DETAILS ON JERSEY AVAILABILITY:

Here are the important dates coming up this month as the NFL and Nike roll out the new 2012 Nike NFL Jerseys:

  • The new official Nike team jerseys will be available for sale on 4/15 on NFLShop and the online Official Team Stores. Fanatics will have the new Nike jerseys for sale on 4/27 (day 2 of the draft) after the NFLShop and the Team Store’s exclusive window to sell closes.
  • Not all levels of jerseys will be available for delivery in April. There are 3 levels of jerseys that will be available from Nike – Game (Replica), Limited (Premier) and Elite (Authentic) – The Limited and Elite jerseys will not begin to roll out until July or August.
  • We’re anticipating a delay in the delivery of Seattle Seahawks apparel, jerseys and hats and we’ll advise when we have a better feel for the live date.

Please note: Nike is extremely sensitive to Trademark infringement, so I would urge affiliates to completely avoid any domains that include “Nike” or “NFL” or “Nike Jersey” or any official Team, Player Names, or other Trademarked terms in them. Violations will lead to termination from the program and commissions will be reversed.

Affiliates can work with Fanatics to promote Nike NFL Merchandise as well as New ERA NFL Team Hats through our Internal Affiliate Program or through our affiliate network partners ShareASale, AvantLink and Commission Junction.  You can also partner with our NFL Team Shop Partners the Denver Broncos, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans through ShareASale.   We’ll also be launching the new Official San Francisco 49ers Team Shop Affiliate Program this week on ShareASale.

The match up for Super Bowl XLVI is set with the New England Patriots taking the AFC Championship and the New York (Football) Giants taking the NFC Title. Fanatics is now offering officially licensed Conference Champions and Super Bowl Matchup gear for sale.
